Darin and I took a road trip to Colorado the summer just before I got pregnant with the girls. We camped out at Rocky Mountain National Park. At the time, we kind of thought it could be the last vacation before kids. Of course ,we really didn't know what that meant, in the practical sense.
I remember wanting so badly to be pregnant already. It was hard to imagine anything other than how fun it would be to take the trip with our children. We'd hike in the morning, head into town to get a little adventure golf in before settling back to the campsite to make dinner and roast marshmellows. Looking back it was an awesome trip. Maybe in another three years we'll do another one.

I think I just shed a tear. . .and then chuckled at the thought of our family going on a hike right now - yea, I think we would need a very short path and a whole lot of time. Aaah, that was a great trip!
